This rustic, industrial, iron pipe, 3 tier, shelf storage, bookcase, display, etc. can be utilized for many different purposes and will go with almost any decor in almost any room of your home. Constructed of hand selected premium wood, it is then sanded to perfection and stained with the highest quality stains possible. At the end, it is then sanded even more and given 3 separate hard top coats to resist scratching, fading and other types of wear and tear. The iron pipe legs and mounting flanges are also hand selected to ensure correct dimensions and straightness.
Each fitting is thoroughly cleaned and de-greased, then painted with multiple coats to seal them indefinitely.
Each shelf is unique in its own sense. There is no assembly line here. Every step of the process is given the utmost time and attention to ensure the highest possible quality results. I generally try to select wood with a bit of character in it, opting for a good amount of knots and variations in the wood grain. This is gives each piece its own life!
The available stain colors are as follows:
– Unstained (just plain wood)
– Golden Pecan
– Weathered Gray
– Red Oak
– Mahogany
– Dark Walnut (wood stain shown in pictures)
– Kona
Please refer to the last two photos for the different stains and pipe colors available. Unfinished is not shown but slightly lighter in color than Golden Pecan. The pictures shown are a piece I recently made and stained with Dark Walnut gel stain.
After the wood shelf is completed, the iron pipe fittings are thoroughly degreased and cleaned. Once this is complete, they are given two solid coats of spray paint in whatever color you select!
The metal finish colors offered are:
– Unpainted metal (fittings shown in pictures)
– Silver
– Black
– Dark Gray Hammered Texture
All shelves will be about 11″ deep by either 24″, 30″ or 36″ length. Painted screws are provided with each metal paint color. However, if natural, unpainted metal is selected then the screws wont be an exact match. Lastly, this shelf unit ships unassembled. However, directions are provided in order to make it easy and straight forward to put it all together!
* It should be noted that due to the nature of wood and stains that each piece will vary slightly in overall color than the samples shown. Also, some woods are softer and therefore soak up more stain than hard woods and this will also result in slight variations in each piece, but this is what makes each one unique!
*Unpainted metal fittings can vary in shape or color as to what is shown in the pictures. Some manufacturers make their fittings black while others make theirs a shade of gray. Please keep this in mind when selecting unpainted fittings, they wont necessarily be an exact match to each other.
* This item is made to order. That means when an order is placed, I will then hand select the wood to be used in the process. Making sure to use the most unique piece possible in terms of grain and knots. Then begins the cutting and sanding, followed by the staining. Sanding is critical when staining wood and this is where the majority of time is spent. Lastly, the protective top coat is added in 3 separate layers with stages of sanding in between each seal coat to ensure a smooth sheen satin finish. All of my stains and top coats are oil-based which take a bit longer to cure but are also more robust and enriching. This results in a more durable finish that will last a very long time!
* The accessories shown are my personal staged items and do not come with the item
