Solid Black Epoxy and Soft Maple Dining Table

This dining table is made from solid black epoxy and a long slab of soft, spalted maple.  Measuring at over 72″ Long and 32″ Wide, it can easily seat 6 or 8…if you squeeze them in tight maybe? The base is also unique and goes very well with the beautiful random coloring the spalted maple.  Spalted is referring to the condition of the wood, additionally it’s considered disease and rot.  However, it gives off very awesome sometimes thin and sometimes thick black lines.  All of the wood we use is kiln dried for at least 12 months in order to make sure the wood is fully inert prior to working on.
