White Oak Wood Stair Tread

This white oak, custom made, solid wood, stair tread will be the center piece of the room once fully installed with a custom metal stair stringer from Prestige Metal. The one shown in the picture is a white oak butcher block style, 12″ wide x 4″ thick x 40″ long tread with a natural sealed finish applied.? We only use Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C here as it is completely non-toxic, water resistant, wear resistant, and it smells good when applied!

If you want the treads stained, then we recommend ordering them unfinished and staining in the field.? We always sand up to 180 grit regardless of applying Rubio Monocoat or delivering them unfinished/raw.

All treads are made to be a standard 12″ wide.

* It should be noted that due to the nature of wood each piece will vary slightly in overall color than the samples shown. Also, some woods are softer and therefore absorb sealants differently than hard woods and this will also result in slight variations in each piece, but this is what makes each one unique!

* This item is made to order. That means when an order is placed, I will then hand select the wood to be used in the process. Making sure to use the most unique piece possible in terms of grain and knots. Then begins the cutting and sanding, followed by the glue up. Sanding is critical when working with wood and this is where the majority of time is spent.
